Re: Making a field
use scafold netting (cheap to buy off the web) stretch it over home made wooden frame boxes. you can make any size box you want. you wont get a 'ting' when they get hit, but you can move them about to change the layout. i have a couple of them and they work ok. bit seethrough, but no one seems to care ... adds to the fun if you know where people are
Re: Making a field
Careful where you play, there was some kids playing in a forest and they got shot by a farmer. He said thought they were coyotes
Re: Making a field
Make sure you are far away from the road.... Dont want the law involved in your homemade danger zone.
Go to your local supermarket and dealerships and ask them if they have pallets they would part with for free. I know i could have given you atleast 20 if you were around here. heck probably even delivered them so they arent in my way.
hopefully you or your friends have access to a truck

Re: Making a field
See if your local field has used netting he is willing to part with. If you wrap the plywood in netting it holds up great.
another suggestions is go to your local oil change place somewhere that they do express oil changes preferably and ask to take the oil drums off their hands. I know up here atleast that oil drums don't have any core charges so they dont see a point in returning them. We got about 40 from our LUBE-X for our field.

Re: Making a field
Make sure you guys set up specific rules about safety as a group as well. Don't be one of those guys giving paintball a bad name.
Re: Making a field
Ansgear has them but they are about as expensive as your 98 so i wouldnt worry much

couple of chronographs quite cheap and are easy to use and accurate. dont forget less than 300 fps (idealy less than 280!)
think they are US made, so you can get them cheaper than this! LOL

Sniper tower is super fucking dangerous. all it takes is on shot up the mask to ruin someones day..
METAL LASTS wayyyyy longer then wood. Unless your buying treated expensive wood metal would be better. Especially free metal. just watch out for edges and safety concerns.
Re: Making a field
sniper towers are ok for the sniper to fire from, but issues come when the opposition get in close to shoot back. as doughnut said it can be very dangerous, so you need to use a surrender call rather than shooting the sniper up close. last thing you need is a serios accident!
Re: Making a field
